Last Rosé of Summer Sixpack

Six Pack
Finally, summer has ARRIVED. Warm weather, sunshine.....even the rain clouds have been held in check. Hello, beach days. Hello, cookouts. Hello, weekend afternoons on the porch, shoes off, feet up, novel and wine glass at the ready. Naturally, you will need some rosé to go with all that. Luckily for you, we had one last Rosé Six Pack Special on deck. Many of our favorites are already dwindling, so take this opportunity to squirrel away some bottles AND save some $, too. Start off with Halter Ranch Rosé, from Paso Robles, and its bold, ripe, almost tropical fruit. Paso generally means big flavors, and this does not disappoint! Then onto the Massaya, a France-meets-Lebanon blend of Cabernet, Syrah, and Cinsault, jammed with graceful, lithe raspberry and strawberry fruit. Next up? Time for some Malbec rosé, like the spicy, gutsy Fabre Montmayou, with its deep berry fruit and hints of bittersweet chocolate. You're thinking burgers? Break out the Gai'a 12-18 H, named for the amount of time this Aghiorghitiko wine sits on the grape skins. Rich plum and red cherry flavors, with loads of spice and refreshing acidity, and ready to take on anything you can grill up. Or fetch the REALLY big gun, Bedrock's Ode to Lulu, dedicated to Lulu Peyraud, the matriarch of France's Domaine Tempier, now 99 and as feisty as ever. The vines tapped for this project, Mataro and Grenache from vineyards in Sonoma and Mendocino-are as ancient as Lulu, planted between 1880 and 1922. The resulting wine is a hedonist's dream: jammed with bold fruit but balanced with great acidity. Actually, forget the burgers. Try a steak. Last but most certainly not least, we're including a bottle of Tete a Claques, our fun-in-a-bottle answer to summer entertaining. Lightly, lightly sweet, lightly sparkling, and chock full of bright strawberry-rhubarb fruit, this beauty with the amusing name is a perennial fave with only one flaw: eventually, we always run out. Packed in a nifty reuseable Pour Richard's logo tote for easy transport, the Last Rosé of Summer Sixpack might as well be named Your Summer Survival Kit. Don't miss out; get yours now.
