We'll try to find a spare sunbeam.
#Perfect
Once upon a time, I counted the beginning of summer as the end of school. But my school days are a distant memory, and even my daughter is facing down the end of her college career. Now I’m more apt to gauge summer’s arrival by that first warm, sunny, blue sky day. A perfect day, like yesterday.
Now, that ‘perfect’ wasn’t all about the weather. But the weather didn’t hurt: warm enough to drink my morning coffee outside, warm enough for shorts and flip flops on the way to yoga. The rest? An excellent yoga class at Providence Power Yoga, followed by a kick-a** sculpt class at the same, followed by the morning’s second coffee at my favorite coffee shop and an excellent diner style breakfast at an outside table with a waitress who knows my name and my order. The sun was warm and golden, but not too hot. The conversation was engaging; the paper was interesting. Mmmm. Yeah.
Then to work (yes, my perfect day involves going to work) where we were hosting a Carol Shelton tasting with Carol Shelton herself. Delicious wines, excellent company, and many of our favorite customers and dogs in attendance. The crowd loved both Carol and her wines; it was incredibly satisfying to bring these groups together and share our love for these wines of authenticity and place. It was (my version of a) perfect day.
As we tumble headlong into summer, I wish you days of sunshine, peace…and excellent wine.
